So today I wore my first spritz of kai eau de parfum. I was delighted at first, but as the day wore on, I found myself disliking the lingering, synthetic scent that never wavered (the perfumers alcohol residual effects). I will just be using it for my bed linens now and JUST WEAR THE OIL PERFUME VERSION, which is so much more natural and PURE!
I am the biggest fan of kai and received my first kai oil perfume back in 2007.
Although I’m enjoying the process of making perfume with perfumers alcohol, I’m ambivalent about “what is better”. Distilled water, fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil immersion or the dreaded denatured alcohol.
I guess I will create whatever is in demand. If someone would like Eau de Parfum blended in distilled water or jojoba oil, I will happily bottle that in the blackout bottles (electroplated chrome, black, and gold) but for those who insist of having clear glass bottles, perfumers alcohol will be part of your blend. Whah Whah.
Meanwhile, I’ve been blending with absolutes and LOVING IT!
